Board of Directors Election

2026 BOD Election Timeline

Everyone should have received a postcard calling for volunteers to run for our Board of Directors. In this upcoming election, we need at least five candidates to fill four board positions.  Candidates can apply by filling out the forms that are available at the front desk and can be downloaded here. (type board in the search window).  The deadline for submittal is August 21st by 5PM.  Thank you to all candidates who apply.

Candidate statements will be posted here as they become available - we currently have two candidates.

Voting – Electronic ballots will be emailed to property owners with a current email address on file on September 30th.  Please use the link provided to vote electronically; it’s fast and easy.  If you need to update your email, please reach out to the front desk.  Property owners who do not use email will be mailed a paper ballot through USPS on September 30th.

Your vote matters – Every household is entitled to one vote.  In addition to selecting Board members, your ballots are used to establish a quorum at the annual meeting on November 4th at 6:00 PM.  If a quorum is not achieved, the Association must repeat the election process.  For that reason, every ballot submitted is important not only for electing Board Members but also for holding the Annual Meeting.

As additional information becomes available, it will be posted here.

Three presentations were made covering the installation timeline, funding, anticipated savings, and the many advantages of generating clean, reliable solar energy for the Village Center.  A representative from the vendor was available to answer questions.  Videos of the presentations and a copy of the slides are posted here.  This information will remain available throughout the voting process.

In the next few days, you’ll receive a ballot regarding the use of our CIF fund to fully pay for this  project. This is the next step in deciding whether Sunflower moves forward with a project that could benefit our community for decades.

Snowbirds can vote electronically or by US mail.
