MISSION STATEMENT
The Mission of Sunflower, an active adult community of 967 homes, is to be good stewards of common property and funds and to offer our residents a variety of opportunities to enrich their physical, cultural and social well being.

BOD Meetings will be held at 10:00 a.m. on the Fourth Wednesday of the month.

Board of Directors Election

There are six candidates for the four open board positions; their statements are available here. A special election edition of the Sun Cather was published Wednesday, September 2ed. Two Meet the Candidates sessions will be held on Saturday, September 26th at 9:00 AM, and Monday, September 28th at 6:30 PM. Questions previously submitted will be addressed -- no questions will be taken from the floor. Both sessions will be held in the Fiesta Room and also on ZOOM.

Voting –
Property owners with a current email address on file with AAM will receive an electronic ballot on/before September 30. If you have an email on file with AAM and you do not receive an electronic ballot by October 1, check your Spam folder. Please use the link to vote electronically; it is fast and easy. Property owners without the required AAM email will receive a paper ballot by mail through USPS on September 30th. Paper ballots will also be available at the front desk beginning October 1st. The postmark deadline for returned ballots is October 28th. For your convenience, you may drop off your paper ballot into a locked box that will be set out in the Village Center lobby during normal business hours beginning October 1st and removed on November 2ed.

​Your vote matters – Every household is entitled to one vote. In addition to selecting Board members, your ballots are used to establish a quorum at the annual meeting on November 4th at 6:00 PM. If a quorum is not achieved, the Association must repeat the election process. For that reason, every ballot submitted is important not only for electing Board Members but also for holding the Annual Meeting.

CIF Solar Project
Three Townhall presentations were made covering the installation timeline, funding, anticipated savings, and the many advantages of generating clean, reliable solar energy for the Village Center. A representative from the vendor was available to answer questions. Videos of the presentations and revised slides from the presentations providing additional information request ed by residents are posted here. This information will remain available for several months.

Approved by Membership Vote!
We are pleased to report that the Community Center Solar Project was approved by the Sunflower membership. Participation was exceptionally strong, with two thirds of all households casting a ballot. With this approval, the Association will begin coordinating next steps with our selected vendor, Technicians For Sustainability (TFS), to initiate the project. As additional information becomes available, it will be posted here.​​

Information for Sun Catcher and Communicator Submissions
Material for the Sun Catcher should be submitted to Nkaplan@associatedasset.com by the 12th of the month previous to the month of publication. Submissions should be in MS-Word format, Times New Roman 12pt font. Please limit article to 250 words or less.

Material for the Communicator should be in submitted in MS-Word to Lsak@associatedasset.com in Verdana 10pt font by 4pm on Wednesday of the week of publication. Please limit to 150 words or less.
