We attempt to keep the time we spend together pleasant, fun and completely stress-free, and to achieve a level the students never thought they could reach.

The aim of the Billiard Room is to invite men and women to play games on the tables with pockets, without dues. The cues (sticks) are also provided. The people who are invited must be 18 years old or older. A resident must be in the pool room to play with a 16 or 17 year old guest, or be there to watch them play.

The mission of the Sunflower Bocce Club is to promote community involvement by encouraging residents to participate in a fun outdoor activity with lasting benefits, by keeping in shape and sharing some valuable time with other members. This activity provides a recreational outlet for all Sunflower residents and their guests.

We are a non-sanctioned bowling league which means we play 3 games for fun; if you are not able to make bowling there is no cost; there are no teams so no competition. We do have an annual bowling banquet and your scores and averages are recorded FYI and are referred to when handing out bowling awards at the banquet.

Participation is available to Sunflower Community Association Members in good standing who can play bridge.

We play "Hand and Foot" Canasta and Samba once a week. If you have only played "regular" Canasta, or if it has been a long time since you have played, come anyway. We'll help you. Our long-term goal is to play cards, have fun, and make new friends.

The purpose of the Craft Club is to provide a fun venue for Sunflower members to come together to plan, organize, promote, and execute shared crafts experiences. The following affiliates are part of the Craft Club Charter: Basket Weaving and Needle Workers.

The purpose of this club is to combine line dancing and the Dance Group (which has been around for many years) in order to offer dances, line dancing and entertainment in the form of dancing to the whole community, making use of outside sources such as Salsa lessons as an example.

Our purpose is to have fun playing the fast and exciting card game of Euchre. We have learning sessions for persons who do not already know how to play the game.

We are a group that enjoys a challenging game and friendship of our fellow players. Five hundred, card game, similar in principle to Euchre, is played with a pack of 44 cards and a joker. The game was originally created to provide more opportunity for skill than Euchre, but less concentration than Wist. This is a good game for couples and single people alike.

The purpose of the Ladies 9 Hole Golf Group is to give all ladies of any skill level an opportunity to golf at a local golf course for fun.

The purpose of the Men's 9 Hole Golf Group is just having fun. We collect no money, offer no prizes and keeping score is optional.

The purpose of the Sunflower Pot Luck Charter Club is to establish and encourage mutual support among members through friendship and social gatherings; to encourage and strengthen members' participation in overall Sunflower activities.

In 2000, the R.O.M.E.O. was founded to give the Men Of Sunflower an opportunity to have lunch once a month instead of staying home with a cold bologna sandwich while their wives or significant others were out at the Ladies Luncheon.

Sunflower Neighbors is a group of volunteers who donate time and transportation to other Sunflower residents. Rides are provided to doctors, dentists, and other medical appointments. This service is intended to be a resource of last resort for those who are unable to drive or are having a procedure where driving themselves would be unsafe.

Our purpose is to coordinate tennis activities in the Sunflower Community to benefit club members. These activities include our USTA events, round robin “Sunflower Tennis” for Ladies, Men and mixed, and Scheduled Doubles, which follow Sunflower Tennis in the mornings.

The Sunflower Community Veterans' Club is organized to serve US Armed Forces Veterans residing within the Sunflower Community.

The purpose of the Weaving Wizards is to provide opportunities for basket weavers to share different techniques and experiences of basket weaving and to preserve the art of basketry.

BACCHUS WINE is a group of Sunflower neighbors who gather monthly to share the joys of fellowship while exploring and learning more about the Wide World of Wine through creative food and wine pairings and fun tastings.

Block Watch is a national program that is based on the principle that neighbors working together are the first and best line of defense against crime. Sunflower Community Block Watch is simple to begin and can improve the security of your neighborhood while increasing your sense of community.

The Coffee Klatch is held for the residents to attend and meet with their neighbors. It is a great way to start your day and a good opportunity to make new friends. Doughnuts and bagels are $.50 each item, and coffee is free.

We play cribbage on Thursday night 6 to 8 in the Craft Room. All residents are welcome. We are willing to give a refresher game if needed.

The purpose of the Fitness Club is to provide instruction and classes to residents in good standing in the Sunflower Community Association. The classes are Water Aerobics, Fun and Fit, Yoga, and Stretch and Tone.

The primary goal of the Sunflower Genealogy Society (SGS) is to assist members in conducting their genealogical research efforts. The organization provides SGS members with access to online genealogy subscription databases and an extensive library of genealogy books and CDs.

The Sunflower Men's Golf Club offers an opportunity for men to play golf in a group on a regular basis. All residents are welcome.

The Sunflower Knitting/Crocheting is a sub-group of the Arts and Crafts group. The purpose of the group is to provide knitting and crocheting with an opportunity to get together to crochet and to share information about crochet projects and techniques. Members work on their own projects and also crochet for local charities.

The purpose of the ping pong activity is to provide a recreational outlet for all Sunflower residents and their guests.

Welcome to the Fun Poker Club! We play card games that somewhat resemble poker, but more importantly, we get together to enjoy an afternoon of camaraderie.

Sunflower Quilters is a Charter Club for any homeowner in the Sunflower Community who sews, quilts, or wishes to do either.

The Sunflower Chorale is a group of dedicated volunteers—director, accompanists and singers—who love music and enjoy sharing their passion with other musicians and the larger Sunflower community.

The purpose of the organization is to provide a venue for Sunflower club members to come together to plan, organize, promote and execute shared travel venues. As a nonprofit organization, individuals receive no compensation from the Club, nor may they accept compensation from any vendors.

To develop programs and activities for Sunflower Community residents who enjoy and wish to preserve the flora and fauna of our desert environment; to educate and encourage respect for our delicate environment through educational and social programs; to provide community service to the Sunflower Association; and to identify projects for the beautification of the Sunflower community that enhances our part in preserving our ever-changing environment.
